'Draw near with faith. Receive the Body of our Lord Jesus Christ which he gave for you, and his Blood which was shed
for you. ...and feed on him in your heart by faith with thanksgiving.' [A.S.B.]
Usage: As a hymn, versus 1-4 may be used. If it is followed by further Communion music, verse 4 should be omitted. As a chorus it may be sung with a steady but slow tempo (as marked), using any single verse - especially 2 or 3. Music: Tune 'Beethoven' (adapted from the 2nd movement of the 'Emperor' Piano Concerto). |
